Limeshore is a local-first pool and spa chemistry log for iPhone. This policy explains what the app stores, what it does not send, and how to remove it.
1. The short version
- Limeshore does not create an account and does not require a sign-in.
- Tests, doses, products, reminders, and settings stay on your iPhone.
- We do not collect personal data on a server. No ads. No tracking. No analytics SDK.
- CSV export and system share sheets only run when you tap them.
2. Who we are
Limeshore is provided as an independent iOS app. Privacy contact: limeshore.support@gmail.com. This address is for privacy and support mail; it is not used for marketing.
3. Data we do not collect
We do not collect name, email, location, contacts, photos, camera, health records, advertising identifiers, browsing history, or diagnostics. We do not use third-party analytics, crash reporters, or ad networks. We do not track you across apps or websites. The app does not call a Limeshore API.
4. What stays on the device
Pool and spa records, water tests, dose logs, chemical products, inventory, care reminders, maintenance notes, unit preference, and home name are stored in the app’s Documents folder on your iPhone. A few flags (for example metric units and reminder permission) are stored in UserDefaults.
Optional care reminders are local notifications scheduled by iOS on the device. They are not sent through a push server. If you turn reminders off, pending notifications are removed.
5. Sharing that you start
If you choose Export CSV, the app writes a file on the device and opens the system share sheet. Where that file goes (Mail, Files, another app) is your choice. We do not receive a copy.
6. Permissions
- Notifications — only if you enable care reminders in Settings. Used to fire local reminders you configured.
- The app does not request camera, photos, contacts, location, tracking, or microphone.
7. Children
Limeshore is not directed at children under 13. Do not enter a child’s personal information into the log.
8. Retention and deletion
Data remains on the phone until you delete it in the app, restore demo data (which replaces your current log), or delete the app. Uninstalling Limeshore removes the on-device archive. There is no server copy to erase.
9. Security
Storage uses iOS Data Protection on the device. The app does not transmit your chemistry log. No method of keeping notes on a phone is perfectly secure; keep the device locked and do not share backups you do not trust.
10. Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is stored or shared, we will update the date above. Continued use after that date is the new policy; you can delete the app instead.
